Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as an American rapper and singer, performing sly tunes that dealt with topics like racial or sexual identities with a funny twist. In the years before she stepped to Hollywood the singer could make a few songs. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Jazz, classical and hip-hop education began when she was in her teens. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. In addition, she spent some time learning Mandarin at the University of Beijing. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until after she completed her degree. After gaining viral fame on the Internet the song My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. On the album, there also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$. The track that was published is directly linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her 2015 travel guide. After a successful career as a singer and songwriter, she decided to take on the role of an actor. Her film credits include films such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. She had a breakthrough role in 2018 with a few movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP, in Fina We Trust in June of the year.
